Deosai , The Land Of Gaints
Deosai , the second highest plateau after the Tibetan plateau. Situated in the himalayan region of Pakistan between astore and skurdu at an altitude of 4,114m .Deosai is the combination of two words ‘Deo’ (giant) and ‘Sai’ (shadow). For centuries, it is believed that this place is haunted by giants, thus the name ‘The Land of the Giants’ came into being.
Nature calls , we are no one to visit by our own , nature always send invitations to their loved ones. deosai was getting hard on my nerves from last 3-4years. The weather is quite unpredictable here, back in august 2014 when i was planning to visit Deosai . Deosai close its door by covering itself with very early snowfall and didn't accept any more traveller. but i succeed in entering Deosai in 2015. It remains covered in snow for complete 8 months and in the other 4month it start welcoming the tourist with variety of flowers of all colors. one of the amazing thing about Deosai is that there's not a single tree in the whole region.
The vast open air theatre with Icy winds, thunderstorms, and presence of wildlife make it hard to live here even in this age, that’s why Deosai is mostly uninhabited.
