One Shot ; Your POV
It's about 3 in the morning when the sound of your phone's ringtone wakes you up.
"Ugh," you grunt sleepily, dragging in a pillow to cover your face. Who in their right mind would call you in this hour? Much less on a Saturday?
You didn't care if it was urgent or not, you were going to ignore the rings and let the call pass. It was going to stop sooner or later, anyway.
Besides, your phone was in the other side of the bed.
But the caller, well they had other plans. The person must've really wanted you up, as the phone kept on ringing and ringing and ringing.
By this point, you were annoyed, so after mumbling a few incoherent words, you roll out of bed to pick your phone up and squint to view who was bothering you only to find out that it was your best friend Shawn calling.
"Fucking hell," you mumble to yourself as you press the receive sign. "This better be good."
"Finally!" He states, not as over exaggeratedly as you expected him to. "I'm sorry to wake you up this early but can you come over? Something happened. I'm in a bit of a... powdery situation."
"You better be sorry. Mendes, you want me to swing by at three in the goddamn morning?" You huff. "You're interrupting my sleep because of a mess that you presumably made? Bro, please. Clean up on your own."
"Wow, I knew I could count on you! What a great friend you are indeed." He says. You feel his sarcastic eyeroll all the way from your room. "Seriously though," he continues. "I need help. Andres apparently got up really early—or couldn't sleep, who knows—and climbed on top of the cupboards full of flour and then uh-I think you can get what sort of disaster may have happened. Anyways, the spilling of flour all over my kitchen is not a big of an issue." He sounds stressed now. "The problem I consider greater than that is that is along with that, the poor kid fell from up high and now he's got a bruise or two & yes, I've patched him up and also have been trying to cheer him up for quite a while now but he just can't seem to stop crying!"
